We prefer e-mail communication rather than telephone calls. We can attend to matters more quickly and easily if they are presented to us in an e-mail.
Our telephone number allows the caller to leave a voicemail only, and a volunteer checks the voicemails as her availability permits. It is not unusual for days to pass before someone who leaves us a voicemail receives a return phone call. And then there is always the possibility of playing phone-tag. Unlike a business, which has paid staff such as a receptionist, we do not have open hours within which a caller can definitely speak to someone by phone.
We warmly invite you to join our online community on Facebook. It is where you will see the day-to-day happenings in CCR. If you ‘like’ our page, you can opt to receive notifications of new postings (this link explains how to do that). Sending us a private message through Facebook is often the fastest way to get a response in an urgent situation.
Cowichan Cat Rescue
PO Box 677
We maintain no official premises. We have no shelter, no office, no headquarters. We have no facilities that anyone can tour. We are simply a small network of volunteers who work out of our own homes doing cat work and then try to fundraise to pay our substantial vet bills. Duncan Pets acts as the adoption centre for the majority of our kittens. The staff at Duncan Pets are unable to answer questions meant for CCR; please direct your questions to us instead.
