Cowichan Cat Rescue was formed in 1999 after we found “Rocky,” an old, sick feral cat desperately in need of help, and discovered there was no help available for such cats in the Cowichan Valley. With some privately donated money, Rocky got the medical attention he needed and lived the final days of his life in comfort, surrounded by affection, warmth and food. Rocky gave us our foundation story, and every year since has been another chapter.
